Dr Stephanie Carver recently completed her Ph.D studies in political orders in Somalia. She examined the role of nonstate actors in affecting the development of political orders in Somalia as a result of maritime piracy. Her research interests include women and peace building and the role of Diaspora in peace building and political orders. She has recently published on the role of Turkish involvement in the Somali political terrain and on foreign fighter (forthcoming)
